1940s Susan Small Navy Blue Linen Tea Dress by UK 12-14
A wonderful original 1940s heavy linen dress by Susan Small in navy blue. The dress is slightly too long in the waist for my model which means on someone it fits properly you would find the yoke lays flat and the collar fastens with a hook and eye making the dress even more exquisite. There is a belt and pockets and the back has a wide box pleat. The dress measures 36 to 38 inch chest 30 inch waist hips up to 42 inches although it hangs loose with the pleating on anyone smaller. The length from nape to hem is 44 inches and from the shoulder seam to waist 17 inches. The attention to detail on this dress is unsurpassed and of course Susan Small of the forties is highly collectable and hard to come by.
1950s Horrockses Ballerina Length Cotton Dress
A beautiful original Horrockses Dress ballerina length with sash ties which are sewn into the seam under the bust and cross over the waist to tie at the back. The dress is in mint condition, in fact it may never have been worn. I have laundered the dress of course. There is the original world famous grey label in the dress which authenticates it.
